Vivek Canada, a local charity is raising funds for India Covid Relief. Vivek Canada has been working with communities in rural and remote areas. The nearest hospital is 25km away.
Each day India is breaking bleak global pandemic records. Desperation is increasing and with the movement of people, corona is now spreading to rural areas as well. As a registered Canadian charity for the past fifteen years Vivek Canada has been working with communities in rural and remote areas.
With the devastation unfolding in India, Vivek Canada has appealed to the community to help the rural areas in preventing the spread of the virus. Vivek Canada is raising funds to provide:
- Medical supplies
- Oxygen concentrators
- Oximeters
- No-touch thermometers
- Kits containing: soap, masks and hand sanitizer to families
- Food supplies to those unable to work and/or leave their homes
