
India Cultural Association (ICA) Of Vancouver launched ICA Hindi Cafe on September 14, 2018 which is celebrated as Hindi Diwas हिंदी दिवस in India.
ICA Hindi Cafe is an effort to connect Hindi speakers from around the world who live in the Greater Vancouver Area and provide them with a platform to further grow and engage with the language.
Hindi – the fourth most spoken language in the world.
Hindi rules the hearts and minds of many Indians and those of Indian origin. Indians we take pride in calling India as Hindi’s home. However Hindi is not unique to India but is commonly spoken in many countries such as Fiji, Mauritius, Guyana, Nepal, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname & the United Arab Emirates.
ICA Hindi Cafe is an opportunity for Hindi Lovers to to unlock the treasure chest of language and freely express their linguistic cultural identity. We welcome individuals of all ages to join us to create a community of Hindi lovers where we seek, share and learn the nuances of Hindi and revive its use far away from its roots.

World Hindi Day in Vancouver:
Consulate General of India – Vancouver celebrates World Hindi Diwas विश्व हिन्दी दिवस or International Hindi Day every year around January 10. This year it is being celebrated on the actual day itself i.e. Friday, January 10, 2025.

If you live in Metro Vancouver region and are interested in teaching Hindi to your kids, you may check connect with Hindu Temple Burnaby or Surrey Hindu Temple for Hindi classes in Burnaby or Surrey. Vivek Hindi School is run by Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Surrey and Ganesh Hindi School is run by Burnaby Hindu Mandir.
